Filmform is a foundation dedicated to promotion, worldwide distribution and preservation of Swedish experimental film and video art. Filmform was initiated in 1950 and is the oldest existing organization in Sweden devoted to art film and video, often engaged as an advisor to artists and filmmakers, curators, researchers, museums, galleries, universities and festivals. The steadily growing archive contains titles dating from 1924 up to today, works by mainly Swedish artists. Film and video in the distribution collection are available to rent for public screenings and exhibitions as well as for educational purposes. Titles in the reference collection can be researched at Filmform only.
