Founded in 1967, the CFMDC is Canada's foremost non-commercial distributor and resource for independently produced film. We represent approximately 550 filmmakers worldwide and over 2,500 film titles, including some of Canada's most original and well-respected works of art. The CFMDC's collection is diverse, ranging from the 1950s to the present, and continues to grow steadily. The CFMDC is artistdriven and dedicates itself to distributing films which operate not simply outside of the mainstream, but which are innovative and diverse in their origins and expressions.
