Peter Berling, producer, actor, writer
In his own words: "After making a mess of his final exams at school, apprenticing as a mason in Osnabrück and jobbing as a tour guide, concert organizer and music publisher, Peter Berling studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, coming to film by way of design and commercial art.
Berling has produced films by directors including Alexander Kluge, Klaus Lemke, Werner Schroeter and above all Rainer Werner Fassbinder. As a character actor, he has also played roles in over one hundred films. His historical novels, in particular The Children of the Grail cycle, are best-sellers and have been translated into over twenty languages."
2011 saw the publication of his fictionalized autobiography Hazard und Lieblos.
