Four new sections will be broadening our programme spectrum. While “Conditional Cinema” and the “Lectures” will feature live and discursive elements, “Labs” and “re-selected” are about analogue film and a redefinition of its merits, about resistance against wholesale digitisation.
We will also be changing our structure. In 2018, the Award Ceremony will already take place on Monday, 7 May; 8 May is largely reserved for Children's and Youth Cinema (which is also screened from 3 to 7 May). From 2019, the festival will run from Wednesday to Monday – thus, in 2019, from 1 to 6 May.
