Another Movie

Another Movie is a response to Bruce Conner’s film A Movie. It restores to Respighi’s composition “The Pines of Rome” the movement that Conner’s film omitted. Accompanying the movement is a shot I took showing the scene that Respighi said the music describes. During the parts of the music that Conner included, the screen is black. By including the music that A Movie omits and with it, a scene corresponding to it, while replacing Conner’s images with black, Another Movie is a complement to A Movie. (Morgan Fisher)
