The definition of the word domestication is to adapt any living organism from a wild or natural state into close association with and for the benefit of humans. In the process of taming, personal interests are annexed by the trainer. The paintings, collages and short animations of the series entitled Homo Domesticus explore the traces of domestication. Its focus is on women and on the phenomenon that could be called “embellished servitude,” which is a result of the discipline to be meek, obedient and appropriately civilised.
