In Meadows Wait, Mist Diffuses, Dzhovani Gospodinov captures the enigmatic energies of Hosbësch. Shot over four years with motion sensor cameras and interlaced with Gospodinov’s own fragmented recollections of its topography, the film poeticises the protracted rupturing of a landscape and queries the ethics of our intrusion into the natural world. Moving between the voyeuristic and the introspective, the film is at once a portrait of and an elegy to Hosbësch.
