Nur weil du mir deine Wunden zeigst, bist du noch lange nicht mein Heiland

In 1976, Josef Beuys demanded “Show Your Wound”, thus prompting the flaunting of suffering in art. For this video, friends and colleagues of the band re-enact body art performances, trying out how the human body becomes artistic material in the process. In a game of showing and concealing, the borders between costume and body become blurred, interrogating the boundaries between nature and artificiality, desire and suffering, lust for life and fear of loss.
