39 new short films for cinema and online exploitation
The new Oberhausen distribution catalogue offers 39 new acquisitions from the 2024 festival programmes as well as some older works compiled in thematic programmes. The catalogue includes award winners and highlights from this year's competitions, all music videos nominated for the MuVi Award 2024 and numerous other international works. All films can be rented individually or in ready-made programmes for non-commercial exploitation in cinemas, many are also available for online presentations. Short films that are suitable as supporting films are offered separately. Information, trailers and distribution conditions are now available on the festival website.
The compilations
As always, Oberhausen has compiled highlights from this year's competitions into five complete programmes: International Competition, German Competition, MuVi Award, Art and Experiment, and Award Winner 2024. These programmes are complemented by the thematic compilations ‘Latin American Experiences’ with new productions from Latin America and ‘Made in Germany 4: Work’, the fourth part of the successful series with groundbreaking German short film productions. Also available is a new programme for young people aged 14 and over, ‘Conquering Spaces, Overcoming Boundaries, for which the Festival has selected seven strong productions from the youth cinema programmes.
