More than six weeks of hand-picked European short films to go
Half time, half price for all Passes now
THIS IS SHORT has passed its halfway mark and is now offering both audience and industry passes at half price for 9.99 and 11.99 euros respectively. New films are still going online every day, with the New Point of View competition featuring a new film every four days, the Four Perspectives section and the Festival Favorites series, as well as access to the online offerings of two of the member festivals.
>| THISISSHORT.COM After a successful kickoff in 2021, the joint platform of the four European short film festivals Go Short (NL), International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (DE), Vienna Shorts (AT) and Short Waves Festival (PL) launched its second edition on April 1 this year and will stay online until June 30. Users from around 20 countries have so far taken the opportunity to view the best of European shorts, including viewers from Argentina, Japan, Vietnam or the US, and of course a number of European countries.
>I NEW POINT OF VIEW – A total of 23 European shorts are in the line-up of this online competition, each available for 7 days, and new films are still going online every 4 days until June 16. And: The NPOV winners will come back to the platform at the end of June.
>I FOUR PERSPECTIVES –This series of four film programs, each curated by one of the four festivals, is connected by the theme of Movements: both within a broader, metaphorical spectrum and in a more literal perception. At halftime, the Oberhausen selection “Move your Body” is still playing, followed on May 31 by “It Feels like We’re Going in Circles”, curated by Vienna Shorts.
>| FESTIVAL ACCESS – Both THIS IS SHORT PASSES include access to the online offerings of the member festivals. Users can still explore Vienna Shorts (25-30.05 Vienna, AT / 25.05-30.06 online) and Short Waves Festival (14-19.06 Poznan, PL & online).
>| FESTIVAL FAVORITES and FILM OF THE DAY: Two series of hand-picked films, selected and curated by the festivals, with new content appearing every day until the end of June.
>| PASSES AT HALF-PRICE! – Short film enthusiasts as well as industry visitors can now get a THIS IS SHORT PASS at half-price for 9.99 euros (instead of 20 euros), or a THIS IS SHORT INDUSTRY PASS for 11.99 euros (instead of 25 euros). Both types of passes offer full access to all short films on the THIS IS SHORT platform. Holders of the THIS IS SHORT INDUSTRY PASS will also have access to the joint video library of the ESFN network, including contact details of all selected films, as well as content restricted to film professionals on the respective film festivals’ own platforms during their online dates. Passes will be sold for the entire duration until June 30.
