Screening the winner of the e-flux Prize

On the next two Thursdays, the winners of the current and former e-flux Prize can be seen in New York's Laika Bar.  Maya Schweizer will kick off the event on 4 July with her film L'Étoile de mer (The Startfish), which won the e-flux Prize at this year's 65th Short Film Festival (see Filmstill). On the same evening follows Gimny Moskovii (The Hymns of Muscovy) by Dimitri Venkov, who accepted the prize in 2018 and Animal Year by Zhong Su, who won in 2017.

MUBI Partnership 2019

For the third time, MUBI, the online video service for films, is showing five short films from this year's festival programme of the Short Film Festival. The festival starts with Zombies by Baloji (Democratic Republic of Congo, 2019), followed by China not China by Richard Tuohy and Dianna Barrie (Australia, 2018), Elvis: Strung out by Mark Oliver (Canada, 2018), Imbued Life by Ivana Bošnjak and Thomas Johnson (Croatia, 2019) and Syndrome IO by Anastasia Braiko, Egor Sevastyanov and Anastasia Veber (Russia, 2018).
