Oberhausen on Tour, the thirteenth

On 8 May 2023, the new Oberhausen short film tour starts in Cologne

This year, for the thirteenth time, the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is sending films from its festival programmes on a worldwide tour. Under the title "Oberhausen on Tour", works from the festival's 2022 distribution catalogue will be shown all over the world until the end of the year. The kick-off will be a programme of experimental works entitled "Art and Experiment" on 8 May 2023 in Cologne. Numerous stops around the world are planned until the end of 2023.

Every two years, films from the Oberhausen distribution catalogue go on a journey around the world under the title "Oberhausen on Tour". The 2023 programme will focus on compilations and films from the 2022 festival programme, for example selections of award winners or from the various competitions. Thematic programmes such as "Made in Germany" or "Latin American Perspectives" as well as older and new children's and youth film programmes complement the programme.

Cinemas, museums and galleries, festivals or Goethe Institutes around the world show the films as partners of "Oberhausen on Tour". The next stops in 2023 are Heidelberg, Potsdam, Tirana, Toronto and Tampere. Around 40 venues will be taking part until the end of the year, from Europe and North America to New Zealand and South America. The Festival will be publishing continuously updated latest dates and venues at www.kurzfilmtage.de.
