Shot and produced in the midst of one of the world's longest lockdowns, Roominations is a six-film pantoum series of indoor adventures that explores the feelings and thoughts of a filmmaker in quarantine. Featuring a toddler reading a nursery rhyme to a ghost finding its own shadow, this series is a cinematic re-encountering with one's home and the inner workings of one's mind.
About the filmmaker:
John Peter Chua is a Chinese-Filipino filmmaker based in Quezon City, Philippines. His love for people and intimate stories is best reflected in his films and photography. After graduating with honors from the Ateneo de Manila University, his thesis film "Sa Pagitan ng Kapanig at Dayuhan" won Best Documentary at the 31st Gawad Alternatibo. John Peter is a fellow of the 23rd Ricky Lee Scriptwriting workshop and of the 1st Cine Sundays Script Lab, and a participant of the ...and Action! Asia #3: Asia Exchange Program for Film Students. Currently, his writing partner is his cat, Lunar.
