Gespräch mit der Medienwissenschaftlerin Lea Wohl von Haselberg über die Repräsentation der Shoah im Film. Forum demokratische Kultur und zeitgenössische Kunst
Starting with reflections on the film The Zone of Interest, film and media scholar Lea Wohl von Haselberg talks about the representation of the Shoah in film. From here, she draws an arc to an "under-complex politicisation" of the film world and talks about the social pressure to position oneself that goes hand in hand with current conflicts. She argues in favour of keeping spaces open that do justice to the complexity of the debates and in which the inclusion and exclusion of people and stories in the film industry can be discussed responsibly. Lea Wohl von Haselberg is curator of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg and co-editor of the magazine Jalta - Position zur jüdischen Gegenwart.
