Scarfman only has one path in his life whereas people in his city have many paths. Even though the paths don’t cross they are lost all the same. As the I-Ching says: “One without a map is no more lost than the one all over the map.”
I walked around the neighborhood and took my usual routes, with a lack of inspiration and plenty of frustration. I had no plan and nothing was happening and I had to produce some god-damn film poetry! I ended up scrambling some materials together and shot myself in the process. This is the result - my splattered brains.
About the filmmaker:
I’m an experimenter by nature. It’s a curse and a gift. I've been into films for a while now but only recently got myself a camera. How does this thing work? I study documentary film just to get more into the wild and out of my comfort zone. I want to create things that are interesting to watch. Some candy for the ears, eyes, brain and emotions. Now I know how Zeus must have felt when giving birth to Athena - that's how I would describe filmmaking at the moment.
