"Autumn Etudes" tries to show the experience of relocation that is both traumatic and exhilarating through objects which represent migrating.
About the filmmaker:
Durna Safarova is a journalist and filmmaker from Azerbaijan.
She studied journalism at Baku State University and got an MA in Cinema at Istanbul Bilgi University. Besides her journalism experience of 15 years, she was involved in various positions in film production and script-writing, as well as film distribution. Durna is the author of various shorts and contributed to award-winning films such as "The Guest: Aleppo-Istanbul", "All Monsters Are Human". Currently, she works as a media manager at Chai-Khana – a visual storytelling platform in South Caucasus.
