Slowly, the bow of a ship pushes its way into the picture, filmed from above, from the bridge onto the ship deck. A variation of tuba sounds, Groombridge 34, played and composed by Carl Ludwig Hübsch, accompanies the continuously changing deck situation of a tanker, with its pipes, painted surfaces and further details, up to the fading away of the swirls caused at the stern by the ship’s propeller in the Rhine.
