IDLU

TEll A ViSiON performs her song IDLU in a raw, one-take performance in an almost empty White Cube. Black suit, Silvertone guitar, amp, cables and effect pedals, that’s all there is. The reduced presentation puts the focus completely on the artist and her performance. The image is almost totally black and white: red lipstick and yellow pedals are the only colour highlights. Manually operated lighting immerses TEll A ViSiON in brightness and deep darkness. She moves between distance and proximity to the camera, comes up very close in the dark; the moment turns intimate. Camera and artist merge and make the raw, direct energy of the performance tangible.
