71st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, 29 April – 4 May 2025
Looking for music videos for the Oberhausen MuVi Award
On 3 May 2025, the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen will award the 27th MuVi Award for the Best German Music Video. Clips can be submitted until 24 February 2025. The Festival is looking for unusual and surprising visuals, since the award goes to the directors for the best visualisation of a piece of music.
All nominated clips will be presented on the big screen at the 71st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (29 April – 4 May 2025), where an expert jury will choose the winners of a total of 3,500 euros in prize money.

Deadline for submissions: 24 February 2025
Date of production: after 1 January 2024
Length: 15 minutes maximum
The director or production company of the video must be based in Germany.
The nominees for the 27th MuVi Award will be announced in March 2025.

The 2024 MuVi Award
The 26th MuVi Award was presented at the 70th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. The First Prize, along with 2,000 euros, went to Marc Richter for Schleim des Nichtwissens (Back To Comm); the Second Prize, along with 1,000 euros, and the MuVi Audience Award, along with 500 euros, went to Juno Melián Meinecke for Das Parlament der Dinge (F.S.K.). A Special Mention went to Paula Reissig for Google Your New Name (Golden Diskó Ship).
The 2024 jury: Anne Haffmanns, head of the Domino Recording Company Germany office; Benjamin Moldenhauer, music critic, Germany; Shahrzad Eden Osterer, journalist, Germany.
