Tickets for the 72nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen are now available. The complete programme with detailed information on the films can be accessed along with the online ticket shop, which is now active.
This year, Oberhausen is organizing more than 100 screenings on six days. The oldest film in the festival is from 1900, the latest contributions are from 2026, ranging in length from one to forty minutes. All in all, the Festival will be showing around 500 films from almost 60 countries on six days.
The programme features a wide variety of works, from new short productions in the competitions to films that deal with reality and fiction in (documentary) film in the Theme programme “based on true events?”, from children’s films to music videos, from performances to analogue screenings, from short films from the Festival’s home state of NRW to one-minute films from the Maldives, and much more.
