As the lyrics and music already tell us, this is about fragments of memory. The video reflects growing up and everyday life in West Germany before the Wall came down. VHS and Super 8 material from the 70s and 80s is juxtaposed with present-day footage of band members and old companions, sometimes in split screen. We see typical surroundings and architecture from this era, almost-forgotten dances of various subcultures and remnants of all this in the present day.
