Rain Järv | 4'00'' | Estonia #filmhaiku #filmsonnet #filmvillanelle
The connection of life and death is always there and sometimes it may seem scary or even terrifying to think about the difference or similarities, and it is said that until death is not accepted, a person can´t live in a free mind and spirit. This film is about death, but moreover it´s about life, questioning where lies the difference and what brings the feeling that one is one and the other is another.
About the filmmaker:
Rain Järv is a 38 year old documentary film student in the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School in Tallinn. Previously he has studied sociology, economics and various psychology and human mind and spiritual growth thematics. He loves to look deeply into how people and society work and relate to each other. That is also the field that interest him as a becoming filmmaker, and some of that is maybe visible also in the short film added here. Participation in the Ji.hlava film academy got him interested in more artistic approaches in documentary film and experimental/art films as a genre. As of today, Rain has directed and produced two short documentary films.
