Past the bulrush swamp and teak woods, a mother dies and a father walks away utters the original pantoum. The heart finds peace, mortality is circular and simultaneously non-linear. We are created but the one who sows the seed does not linger.
About the filmmaker:
Nadira Ilana is a filmmaker and independent film programmer from Sabah, Malaysia. Inspired by her Borneo heritage, in 2016 she founded Telan Bulan Films with the aim of crafting contemporary indigenous and minority stories for posterity.
