Three Poems

I made all of these short films right after arriving in Athens, Greece. Haiku, Sonnet and Villanelle. They try to describe my emotions in a new environment. The private space and public space are intertwined and sounds, sights and smells melt together. The feeling of being an alien can sometimes make your inner introvert pretty active.
About the filmmaker:
Jyri Pitkänen is a Finnish photographer, visual artist and documentary film maker. He graduated from Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts, Finland and from Tallinn University Baltic Film and Media School. His works have been exhibited in Finland and abroad. At the moment he lives in Tallinn, Estonia and in Athens, Greece.
Pitkänen has directed three short documentary films: "Love Song", 2018; "Lehtola", 2020 and “12", 2020.
